New Gift Shop Procedures and Fees

As we move into our new space at Mint Hill Arts, we are also revising our Gift Shop procedures and fees. Our new space allows us to offer beautiful and affordable handmade gifts in a more secure "boutique" environment, and we are very excited about the new Gift Shop!

Please note the following:

Submission of items to the Gift Shop will now take place at four intakes during the year: February, May, August and November. These are the only times that new participants may submit their artwork and/or crafts to the Gift Shop.

The fee to submit items to the Gift Shop is $15.00 for each 90-day period, which begins at one of the intakes listed above.

At the end of each 90-day period, items must be removed from the Gift Shop. With payment of $15.00 for the next quarter, items may be resubmitted at the intakes listed above.

If your merchandise needs to be restocked during the 90-day period, you may do so only at the regular (monthly) intake times, which are listed on the calendar at Mint Hill Arts website. Restocking includes only replacement of items sold.

You can download the Gift Shop Inventory Sheet here.

The Big Move

Mint Hill Arts is very pleased to announce plans to move into the center of the Grace Building. Floorplan is currently on display at MHA. It's hard to believe that less than 3 years ago, we were cleaning out a dusty warehouse space in order to have a place to meet and hang some art.

The new space features heating and cooling (wow!), a full kitchen, new signage, and plenty of room to create new gallery, classroom, and studio spaces. What does this mean for us? Yes, this is a lot of work, and we will need your help. Yes, it will cost more. But it also represents an important milestone for MHA-with this move, we become a more visible, prominent fixture in the town of Mint Hill.

Moving and construction have begun and will continue through July. There will not be a July exhibit or reception; however the building and pottery studio will remain open for classes. The new gallery is slated to open for the August reception.

We at Mint Hill Arts would all like to thank the people at Grace Innovations (Kevin Cobb, Max Smith, Ryan Burns, Lionel Sargent, and Rodney Cobb) for once again giving us a boost as we move to the next level in our journey. Without their support over the past 3 years, Mint Hill Arts would not have accomplished the things we have.

Thank You!
